Lootbound Damage Types: Slash, Crush, Acid, Base

How the Lootbound four damage types meet armor: Base, Slash, Crush, and Acid. Keep more than one language in the party.

Damage type is how Lootbound talks to enemy armor. A party that only speaks one language can hit a wall. The four names below come from a beginner tips article; Steam does not list them.

What damage types does Lootbound use?

Four. Base, Slash, Crush, and Acid. Each meets armor differently.

InsertCoins’ related-guide title also refers to four damage types, which matches that split. It does not publish the math.

How does each type interact with armor?

Armor is the cheap resource: it fully restores after battle. Health does not come back on its own. Use Crush or Acid when a fight is an armor wall; use Slash when the wall is already down; use Base when you need a safe default.

BaseReliable all-rounderYou need a generalist hit
SlashWeaker until armor is gone; strong after (reported)Follow-up after a breaker
CrushBreaks armor (reported)Opening against armored targets
AcidIgnores armor (reported)You cannot break the wall in time

Should I specialize in one type?

Not on a first run. Tips coverage says enemies are built to wall parties that only speak one language, and that you should keep at least one armor-breaker and one armor-ignorer in the group. Spreading four types thinly is also a trap — hold two languages, not one and not all four at once.

Warrior is reported to lean Slash. Witch is reported to lean Acid.

Place type-carrying weapons inside a damage district so the aura and the type agree. See inventory auras.
